The 139th edition of the Varsity was held on the Amsterdam-Rhine Canal near Houten. “It is the national student rowing championship and it is the oldest rowing competition in the Netherlands,” says Robert. “Every year, 12,000 people come. This is the biggest event of the year for student rowing,” says Robert Laan, competition commissioner at Triton.
