Yevgeny Prigozhin, head of the Russian paramilitary Wagner Group, claims that the town of Bakhmut in eastern Ukraine is “legally” captured after months of fierce fighting.

Prigozhin writes on Telegram that the building for the city’s administrative seat is under Russian control.

In actuality, however, the battles for the city will continue. The Ukrainian forces are concentrated in the western parts of the city, according to him.
