The flu is cured within 1-2 weeks with the appropriate treatment method. Known as a viral infection, the flu is most transmitted through coughing, sneezing and talking. However, according to studies, various risky situations do not end even if the flu is treated. BLOOD FLOW TO THE HEART
Dutch researchers found that fatal complications were significantly higher in the year before or after an infection. They tracked laboratory tests, hospital and death records covering 40 percent of the country’s population from 2008 to 2019. The team said flu increases the risk as the virus can block blood flow to the heart, increasing the risk of blood clots that can lead to a heart attack.

THEY HAVE A HEART FAITH WITHIN ONE YEAR AFTER INFECTION
“While it is not clear from our results whether those with less severe flu are also at risk, it would be prudent to be aware of the link.” The latest study, presented at the European Congress of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases in Copenhagen, looked at how flu affects heart attack rates. About 26,211 cases of flu were confirmed in laboratories during the study period, and 401 people had at least one heart attack within a year of infection.
FIRST WEEK RISK OF HEART ARISES SIX TIMES MORE
Of the heart attacks, 25 occurred within the first seven days of flu diagnosis, 217 within the year before diagnosis, and 177 within a year after flu diagnosis. The researchers calculated that patients were 6.16 times more likely to have a heart attack within seven days of being diagnosed with the flu than in the previous or following year.
