She was offended that Tove did not appreciate her newly renovated bathroom. With tears in her throat, the 20-year-old tells how she knocked Tove over and grabbed her by the throat. – My brain kind of shuts down there, I kind of don’t understand what’s going on, says the 20-year-old. The trial regarding Tove’s murder continues on Wednesday. Both the 18-year-old and the 20-year-old woman who are suspected of murder and breach of the peace will be heard in Eksjö district court. First up was the 20-year-old, who tells in detail about the night of the murder. – I put my hands around Tove’s neck and push, says the 20-year-old. The two accused women have been waiting for Tove outside the nightclub in central Vetlanda. According to the 20-year-old, the plan was to beat her when she came out. But according to the 20-year-old, the mood changes as Tove is so “kind in her voice” once she came out. – She was surprisingly accommodating, then the thoughts of hitting her disappeared. It was a good atmosphere and we laughed a bit, says the 20-year-old. “Putting me on the edge of Tove” The two defendants go together with Tove to the 20-year-old’s apartment. Once there, Tove is given a quick tour of the apartment. When the 20-year-old shows off his bathroom, Tove is said to have said: “This was nothing to see” – which offended the 20-year-old. – Tove had never been there before, so we go to the bathroom together. I was going to show it off, I was quite proud of it, because it was newly renovated. After that, the 20-year-old claims that Tove went into her with his shoulder, and that she responded by knocking Tove to the ground. – Then it’s like she pushes me into the wall and then I knock Tove to the floor and then Tove kicks at me, then I sit on top of Tove, says the 20-year-old. “…Then Tove shuts up” At the same time that the 20-year-old has a stranglehold on Tove’s neck, the 18-year-old grabs Tove’s hands and holds them firmly to the floor, according to the 20-year-old. She thinks she holds Tove by the throat for about ten seconds, before she notices that Tove is in a bad place. – There my brain kind of shuts down, I kind of don’t understand what’s going on. After a while, I don’t know how long, Tove becomes quiet, says the 20-year-old. The 20-year-old’s lawyer claims that Tove did not die of strangulation. According to the defense, her client allegedly took a shorter stranglehold on Tove that was not fatal. Instead, the defense believes that Tove must have vomited and died of suffocation. The 18-year-old, who was heard after the 20-year-old, broke down in court, which then paused the trial and took an early lunch. The trial resumes at 1:00 p.m
