The Norwegian superstar’s greeting to the entire Swedish people – after the behavior on social media: “It’s very ugly”

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

She has been completely superior lately.
But the success of Krisitine Stavås Skistad has also led to hatred – from Swedes.
Now she sends a greeting.
– It’s extra nice to win after that, she says.

For several years, Sweden has been completely dominant when it comes to sprinting in the World Cup and during major championships. Skaters such as Jonna Sundling, Maja Dahlqvist, Linn Svahn and Emma Ribom have subscribed to podium places and above all wins, and this year’s WC was no exception.

Greetings to Sweden

But after the world championship, there has been a real change of scene. Noskan Kristine Stavå’s Skistad has long been seen as a lost giant talent in Norway, but this winter she has had an almost sensational breakthrough. She could not threaten any Swede when she finished fifth during the WC, but after that there have been other balls.

This weekend she won the Lahti sprint, the final one for the season, and with that it was the star’s fifth (!) straight sprint win in the World Cup. Jonna Sundling is now a regular runner-up, something that really hasn’t been normal in recent years, but for Skistad there is additional motivation during the weekend’s competitions, other than just winning. She reveals that she receives many messages from Swedes on social media, and it is not only positive words that are said.

– First of all, there are many positive messages. But then I think it’s extra nice to win considering all the messages from bitter Swedes. There will be many such comments. It is very motivating, she tells VG.

“Is very ugly”

Kristine Stavås Skistad believes that before this weekend’s competition she received a message from a lady from Sweden, who gave her motivation to beat the Swedes in the competition.

– There was a lot of stuff about me being both one and the other, she says.

She continues:

– It is very ugly that comes from the Swedes.

Stavås Skistad believes that the messages make it extra nice every time she ends up on top of a podium, and especially when she beats Jonna Sundling.

– I just think that I want to beat her every final. I feel like I have the upper hand now. Now it’s just a matter of winning in the WC, and not just in the World Cup. But it’s nice to beat a strong competitor.
