Trump: “Not a crime”
Former US President Donald Trump once again pleaded his innocence at a campaign rally in Waco, Texas, overnight Sunday.
For Trump, it was the first mass meeting of the year and it comes after a few turbulent days when he himself claimed that he would soon be arrested. No such decision has yet been made by the grand jury in New York.
The district attorney was “investigating me for something that is not a crime, not a misdemeanor, not a deal,” Trump claimed to supporters. (TT)

Finnish politician assaulted: “He wanted to kill me”

The Finnish Samling party and Member of Parliament Ben Zyskowicz was assaulted and threatened by a man in Helsinki on Saturday.
It happened at a subway station, just over a week before the elections in Finland.
– There a man, maybe 30-40 years old, came towards me in an aggressive manner, put his face to mine, and shouted that he wanted to kill me, Zyskowicz tells Swedish EPN.
The man said something about NATO and Judaism.
– After that he hit me in the face with his hand, says Zyskowicz.
The man has been arrested by police and the incident has been condemned by, among others, President Sauli Niinistö and Prime Minister Sanna Marin.
Loud bang alarm – bomb disposal called in
The police cordoned off an area in Hässleholm after being alerted to a loud bang on Saturday evening.
A damaged car was found at the scene.
– It is in a residential area that the car has been parked, says Filip Annas, press spokesperson at police region South.
The national bomb squad has been called to the scene to investigate whether the car can be linked to the blast.
Whether it was explosives that caused the explosions cannot be determined until bomb protection has made its assessment.
Update:
At 23.55 the police announced that the bomb shelter had arrived in Hässleholm.
The police have interviewed witnesses and are checking surveillance cameras in the area.
Man stabbed in Gävle – suspect arrested in Hofors
A person was stabbed outside a grocery store in Gävle at around 1pm on Saturday.
– He is said to have been stabbed several times in the upper body but was awake and able to speak when the police arrived, says Mats Länn, RLC officer at the police.
The man, who is in his 30s, was taken to hospital. The injuries are said not to be life-threatening.
Later in the day, the police were able to arrest a suspected perpetrator.
– They have managed to locate a man in Hofors. There were many police resources on site. The arrest went smoothly.
The man is now under arrest on suspicion of attempted murder.
Both men were known to the police from before.
Brazil’s president in hospital – cancels China visit

Brazilian President Lula da Silva, 77, has been forced to cancel his state visit to China due to illness.
Next Tuesday, he would have met Chinese President Xi Jinping.
According to the Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson, the visit would usher in “a new era and a new future for the relationship between China and Brazil at the head of state level,” reports DR.
But instead, da Silva has been admitted to hospital and has been diagnosed with pneumonia and influenza, writes TT.
Man robbed of goods outside grocery store
A man in his 20s was robbed outside a grocery store in Malmö on Saturday evening.
The man got rid of his phone, wallet and the goods he had just bought.
– He has been threatened with some type of sharp object. He received a cut in connection with the robbery, but it was minor, says Filip Annas, press spokesperson for the South police region.
The police are now looking for the perpetrator and interviewing witnesses.
Drowning alarm – man seriously injured
A man has been taken to hospital after an accident in a bathhouse in Mjölby on Saturday. According to Region Östergötland, the injuries are life-threatening and the condition is critical. He is currently being treated in the intensive care unit.

Russia will place nuclear weapons in Belarus, President Vladimir Putin says, according to Russian media.
Putin does not consider it a violation of the nuclear agreement and says it is the same thing the US is doing in Europe.
Russia is said to have already moved ten aircraft to Belarus that may be armed with nuclear weapons, according to Reuters.
Roman coins found on Gotska Sandön

On Gotska Sandön north of Gotland, two Roman silver coins have been found, reports SVT Nyheter Öst.
The coins are supposed to be around 2,000 years old and are described as a “very unusual archaeological find”.
According to Johan Rönnby, professor of marine archeology at Södertörn University, the coins may be remains from a sunken ship.
Woman cycled into deep hole – taken to hospital
A woman has cycled into a deep hole in central Uddevalla.
The alarm came in around 3 p.m.
– She was out cycling, so somehow she got inside the barrier and cycled into the pit, says the duty officer of the rescue service, Ulrik Olsson.
– According to our operations leader, it’s a big hole. But I don’t actually know how deep it was.
The woman was taken to hospital by ambulance.
– I don’t know more than that, says Ulrik Olsson.

Tourist bus has run off the road
Outside Uppsala, a tourist bus drove off the road during the afternoon.
There were 30 people in the bus. According to the police, they could not get out of the bus on their own.
– We have some personal injuries, but I don’t know any details, says the rescue service’s command operator Stefan Malmberg.
The accident is linked to the difficult weather.
– People slip around a bit everywhere. We have had several accidents over the course of a couple of hours. It is the weather that is involved in most of them, says Stefan Malmberg.
The emergency services later managed to get everyone out of the bus.
– According to my information, no one is seriously injured, but we have managed to get a new bus there so they can get into the heat, says Roger Sverndal, line operator at the rescue service.
Four people were transported to the hospital by ambulance. The police do not suspect any crime in connection with the accident. The emergency services also examined the bus and were able to rule out any leakage.

Eight cars in accident – five to hospital
Eight cars are involved in an accident on national highway 72 outside Uppsala.
Five people have first to hospital. According to the police, two are said to have been seriously injured.
The accident causes traffic to stop.
– They are standing on a stretch of 300 meters, said Tommy Wållberg, who is commanding officer at rescue center Mitt to SVT.
The incident occurred at 1 p.m.
– It is snowing a lot in Uppsala now so it may have something to do with the weather, says Nadya Norton, press spokesperson at police region Mitt.

Saw that there were 2 copper thieves in Värmdö, is there a special brand they are after, have warned my old mother who saves on copper to hide both cups and dishes so don’t open to anyone she doesn’t know

Hi Bengt! We also initially thought about what kind of copper it could be that the thieves tried to steal – but it was the metal copper, and not copper that you drink from, that the thieves were targeting in this case.
Hi.. wondering how the 16 year old girl who went missing.. kidnapped.. has she been found? Haven’t read anything more about her than that they were looking for and want help to find her.. possibly on her way to Denmark..
