Spokesperson of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mariya Zakharova said that the UK should first try the depleted uranium ammunition that it plans to ship to Ukraine on its own island.
Zakharova made statements about the issues on the agenda at the weekly press conference she held in the capital Moscow.
Evaluating the statement that “Britain will send depleted uranium ammunition to Ukraine”, Zaharova said, “London can try on this issue first on its own island. They have always used this ‘standard’ weapon. You have the opportunity to conduct such experiments there. First feel the deadly consequences, then send it to others.” she used the phrase.
Emphasizing that the effects of the use of these ammunition cannot be kept under control, Zaharova reminded that accidents occurred at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant in Ukraine in 1986 and at the Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant in Japan in 2011.
“WE WILL HAVE TO GIVE THE NECESSARY ANSWER TO MOLDOVA SANCTIONS”
Referring to the statement of Moldovan Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Niku Popesku that they will participate in the sanctions imposed by the European Union (EU) against Russia, Zaharova said, “The EU’s steps did not remain unresponsive. We will have to give the answer. It will not be our choice, it will be a response to unfriendly steps.” used the phrases.
Sharing the hope that talks will be held in a tripartite format between Russia, Iran and Azerbaijan as soon as possible, Zaharova noted that they are ready to support this issue. (AA)
