The leaders of the air force in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland have signed an agreement that makes it possible to act jointly.
Sweden’s Air Force Chief Jonas Wikman writes on Instagram that a Nordic concept for being able to operate together includes, among other things, joint planning, training, exercises, shared situational awareness and logistics.
Together, the four countries have access to around 250 combat aircraft, which is on the same level as France and Great Britain.
Norway’s air force chief Rolf Folland tells Aftenposten that it will be “on the right track” to have an integrated air force by the winter of 2024.
