The “MonPsy” system set up by the government to take care of psychiatric disorders linked to the Covid-19 pandemic is singled out by groups of professionals. The number of sessions reimbursed, the prices, the fact of going through a general practitioner are the reasons why shrinks are called to boycott the platform.

To understand the psychiatric disorders linked to the Covid-19 pandemic, a new device available in the spring will allow from the age of 3 to be reimbursed for 8 sessions with the psychologist. Professionals interested in this approach can register from Thursday 17 February on the platform”MyPsy“established by the government.

But now, several psychologists are not satisfied with this system, indicates a statement published this month by the collective Manifeste Psy: “The participants (7,000 psychologists gathered, editor’s note) unanimously deplored the latest government measures.

Several elements of the system are pointed out by psychologists: first, you have to go through a general practitioner to benefit from the eight free sessions, then choose a professional from the list offered by the site and suffer from an intensity disorder “weak to slight”.

Asked by France infothe clinical psychologist and co-founder of the collective Manifeste Psy Camille Mohoric-Faedi indicates that this status is not likely to concern many people. “If you are burnt out, you are a victim of domestic violence, if you have suffered an accident, you are traumatized, your case is considered too severe to enter the system”.

Then the professionals do not agree with the limit “arbitrary and absurd” the reimbursement of eight sessions, a number deemed insufficient. “It is not possible to predict in advance the time it will take to get out of mourning, to restore a taste for life, to get out of your anxieties” informs Solenne Albert who represents theassociation of freudian psychologists (APF).

In addition, the prices are considered “unsuitable”. That of the first session was set at 40 euros then 30 euros for the next ones. For these reasons, the committee calls for the immediate cessation of the implementation of the “Mon Psy Santé” system as well as “the withdrawal of the various decrees relating to platforms which do violence to caregivers and patients”. Psychologists are thus called upon to boycott this system.
