The neighborhoods adjacent to the area where paid parking already applies are the first to be affected. According to the municipality, parking pressure is highest here. Neighborhoods in the second block, such as Zuilen and Lunetten, will follow between 2026 and 2030. The last part of Utrecht, such as the Meern and Vleuterweide, will be next from 2031. In this way, Utrecht wants to introduce paid parking in three steps.
