An 18-year-old Norfolk County resident has been charged with two counts of possession of child pornography.
The resident was charged in connection to an ongoing investigation that began in July 2022, Norfolk OPP said in a statement issued Tuesday.
The name of the accused is not being released because the offenses took place when the accused was 17. The youth cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
Norfolk OPP say the accused is being held in custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on March 20.
