You can still get rare items until the end of the beta, but that won’t do you any good

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

In Diablo 4, the first beta test is coming to an end. Players had plenty of time to play around in Sanctuary to now find out that you can even collect mounts. However, you will never be able to use them.

What was found? Players had all weekend to explore a small part of the new world of Sanctuary in the first beta test of Diablo 4. Classes were tested and even well-known bosses were defeated, but many players didn’t even have one cool change on their screens and that’s the mounts.

These could not be used in the beta because you had to complete an important quest in the ongoing story that is not available in the beta. Despite this, with a bit of luck, some heroes got some mounts and even armor dropped. These are cool, but you won’t be able to use them at release.

Beta will erase all your progress in Diablo 4

What is the problem? The mounts were mostly found in the open world through events. For the first moment it is cool to have made such a find, but the disillusionment is very great when you know that you cannot keep these items at the release.

Blizzard itself points out that your character that you have created will be sent to virtual nirvana along with the weapons and armor you have collected. These will be erased at release so every player will start from scratch when Diablo 4 is out. Unfortunately, this also includes the mounts.

What do the found mounts show? Blizzard spared no effort in creating cool mounts. From simple mounts to dark and rotten horses of hell, everything is included. In addition, you can also get hold of horse armor that you can put on your horse. This even works with activated skins.

Remember where you found special items: While it’s disappointing to lose these items, make note of their locations. Blizzard could still change the drop location of some items for the full release, but it is quite possible that the locations of the horse skins will remain the same. So make a note of the location and revisit it when Diablo 4 celebrates its full release.
