A 25-year-old Swedish woman has died in an avalanche in the Italian ski resort of Courmayeur, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirms for TT. Another Swedish woman of the same age has been reported missing after the avalanche. Two other Swedes are said to have been there when the avalanche started but got away, according to Aftonbladet, which refers to the Italian Il Gazzetino. The alarm about the incident came at 1pm on Sunday. The search for the missing woman will resume on Monday morning, Italian media write. Even as recently as just over a week ago, two Swedish men died in an avalanche in Switzerland.
