A thriller masterpiece set entirely in an airplane unleashing incredible
7500 is a very cleverly directed film. The airplane thriller with a great Joseph Gordon-Levitt not only shows the moral dilemma a pilot can find himself in. He also shows how few square meters of maneuvering space are required for effective tension. It’s on TV today. In the thriller 7500, Joseph Gordon Levitt bars himself from terrorists

The debut feature film by German director Patrick Vollrath revolves around the pilot Tobias (Gordon-Levitt), whose plane is hijacked in mid-air by Islamic terrorists. He can block their access to the cockpit, but his co-pilot is badly injured. And while he tries to land, the hostage-takers want to force him to surrender with violence against passengers and crew. After a short time they find out that Tobias’ wife Gökce (Aylin Tezel) is also on the staff.

Vollrath uses the limited possibilities in 7500 to his advantage. Instead of assembling parallel storylines per cut, he stays very close to Tobias and his growing despair. Without losing sight of him, he uses the screens in the pulpit to show what atrocities are taking place in front of the door.
