Malmö won – one match away from a secured contract

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

When Johan Larsson made it 3-3 for Brynäs, it looked like it was going to be an overtime thriller.

But Malmö would have the last word.

Adam Ollas Mattson, who had previously scored two goals, pulled away a long-range shot that meant 4–3.

After a long video review, the referee made the decision to award the goal – to Brynä’s great fury. The home team believed that goalkeeper Anders Lindbäck was pushed away.

But there was a goal and the match ended with victory for the Skåne team, who now lead the match series with 3–0. They are also one victory away from securing SHL play next season.

For Brynäs, it is pitch black. The team needs a miracle to avoid playing in the hockey allsvenskan. The teams meet again in game four on Tuesday.
