A total of SEK 3.7 million was collected – which is the lowest in over 20 years. Last year, the number was three times as large.
According to Radiohjälpen’s general secretary Kristina Henschen, the economic situation, work phones and digitization are possible explanations for viewers voting and donating money in a different way.
“We also see that the commitment to, for example, Ukraine, which was so incredibly strong last year, has unfortunately decreased in any case when we talk about donations,” she says to the radio.
To compensate, Radiohjälpen has urged people to contribute anyway via Swish.
