Martin Ponsiluoma has really found great form again.

After a tough period earlier in the season has Martin Ponsiluoma really found the big form now. The 27-year-old bagged both WC silver and WC bronze at the recent World Championships in Oberhof and has regained his confidence.

On Thursday it was time again when the Swede was impressive again. Ponsiluoma offered dream shooting in the Norwegian Holmenkollen and took up the fight against the home skater and the big dominant Johannes Thingnes Bö.

The Swedish biathlon shot absolutely flawlessly during the World Cup sprint and it would be dramatic towards the end. But on the last lap, Ponsiluoma still failed to catch up with the superior Norwegian who was first across the finish line despite a barrier.

But after zero misses and good riding, Martin Ponsiluoma was able to ride into a very strong second place ahead of the German Benedikt Doll.
– Nice. A perfect race! It’s just that Bö is too good, says the SVT expert Bjorn Ferry.

With the new podium in Norway, Ponsiluoma has broken a new personal record with four individual podiums this season. Which makes it his best World Cup year so far in his career.
