Diablo 4 is about to release, but many fans fear the launch won’t go smoothly. What is behind “Error 37” that everyone fears?
Diablo is expected by thousands of fans around the world and the release is not far off. But the upcoming beta could already be a test of how many people are actually interested in playing Diablo 4.
And many fear that Blizzard is once again mercilessly underestimating the onslaught. And then you could see the “Error 37”.

What is this error? Error 37 was displayed when Diablo III was released in 2012 when you tried to launch the game. The bug meant the servers couldn’t handle the onslaught of players. So if you wanted to play, you had to be patient and try again later. This already excited many players in 2012, who wanted to start the action RPG punctually at midnight.
Why do you fear the same problems? Back then, Blizzard completely underestimated the onslaught on Diablo III and then had to work diligently on the servers in the background and solve problems. Many believe that this will happen again and Blizzard could underestimate the great interest, reports the portal PC Gamer.
Why was that a hot topic? Blizzard used always-online copy protection for Diablo 3 for the first time. This means: You always have to be online if you want to play the game. This also applies if you “only” want to play the single player campaign. Even if you wanted to play completely alone, “Error 37” prevented you from starting your game.
Blizzard co-founder Mike Morhaime explained at the start that it was important for Diablo that you had to be connected to the internet all the time. At the time, this only caused many players who were having major problems with the game to shake their heads (via pcgamer.com).
