Current: Was re-elected on Thursday as chairman of the International Football Association (FIFA). An assignment he has had since 2016. During his time as chairman, he has been controversial, including for everything that happened around the World Cup in Qatar, lack of investments in women’s football and for his close contacts with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
On Thursday, controversial Gianni Infantino was re-elected as president of the International Football Federation (FIFA) for another four.
