Chatham-Kent residents are reminded to buy their 2023 dog tags before March 31 to avoid a $10 late fee.
Tags can be purchased at the Chatham animal shelter, at any municipal office, by calling 311, or online at pawr.org/product-category/dog-tags/
Animal control reminds residents the responsible animal ownership by law requires all dog owners to obtain municipal tags for their dogs each year. Residents who fail to do so risk being fined $240.
Tags are $38 for non-spayed/neutered dogs and $28 for spayed/neutered dogs.
