Several traffic accidents have occurred in Skåne during Thursday morning. The first alarm came shortly after six o’clock where several cars collided on the E22 in the northbound direction at the height of the Lund interchange. According to the police, the road affected by the accident is very slippery. – We have received quite a few accidents, the largest with twelve cars involved, a series crash. So far no reports of serious injuries. Regarding the first accident, we received information from the police on site that the road is very slippery. There are new accidents all the time, says Evelina Olsson, press spokesperson for the South police region. The accidents have since followed one another, including a passenger car overturning on the E6/E20 just before the Borgeby interchange. At eight o’clock the police had been alerted to a total of 13 traffic accidents in the county within the space of an hour. – We have locally severe slippage in some places. The accidents have mainly occurred on E6 and E22 and it is in Lomma, Kävlinge, Lund and Eslöv that we have dealt with the most accidents. SMHI issued a yellow weather warning during Wednesday evening when heavy snowfall was expected in large parts of Skåne. The authority already warned yesterday afternoon that it could result in traffic problems during Thursday morning.
