Traffic chaos in Skåne – 13 accidents within two hours

Several traffic accidents have occurred in Skåne during Thursday morning. The first alarm came shortly after six o’clock where several cars collided on the E22 in the northbound direction at the height of the Lund interchange. According to the police, the road affected by the accident is very slippery. – We have received quite a few accidents, the largest with twelve cars involved, a series crash. The accidents have mainly occurred on E6 and E22 and it is in Lomma, Kävlinge, Lund and Eslöv that we have dealt with the most accidents. Adjust your speed according to the road conditions, keep your distance and be out in good time, says Linus Steffensen, commanding officer at the Southern Rescue Service. SMHI issued a yellow weather warning during Wednesday evening when heavy snowfall was expected in large parts of Skåne. The authority already warned yesterday afternoon that it could result in traffic problems during Thursday morning.
