US Secretary of State Blinken, in his speech at the United Nations Security Council, said that Russian forces were preparing to invade Ukraine and that this attack could take place “in the coming days”.
Blinken said that Russia was planning to produce an excuse for the attack and that this excuse could be a fake or real attack with chemical weapons. Stating that the Russian media may also play a role in misleading the public, Blinken said, “Russia may describe this event as ethnic cleansing or genocide.”
RUSSIA EXPORTS GORMAN
While the USA and NATO threatened Russia with sanctions against a possible invasion of Ukraine, a move came from Russia that would anger the USA.
While Russia-based RIA news agency announced that Russia had expelled Bartle Gorman, the deputy ambassador to the US, it was announced that Washington was expected to respond in the same way.
It was stated that Moscow did not provide a clear reason for the deportation of the deputy ambassador.
In the statement made by the United States Department of State, it was emphasized that this action of Russia was “unnecessary”. A spokesperson for the State Department stated that the United States will respond to Russia.
ENGLAND PUBLISHES RUSSIA’S INVASION PLAN
As the Russia-Ukraine crisis continues, the British Ministry of Defense has published Russia’s possible invasion plan of Ukraine. In a statement on its social media account, the Ministry of Defense stated that after the latest intelligence reports, Russia could invade Ukraine “without any further warning” and said, “Russia claimed that some troops will return to bases after the completion of the exercises. Russian forces have withdrawn from the Ukrainian border areas. “We haven’t seen any evidence of that. Russia holds a significant military presence that could launch the invasion without further warning,” he said.
In the map of the 2-stage possible invasion plan, titled “President Putin’s probable invasion axis is shown”, the Ministry of Defense stated that in the first stage, Russia can carry out a ground operation from two points along the Belarusian border and from one point on the western border of Russia towards Kiev.
