Røiseland is the most meritorious female biathlete in Norway and in the WC 2020 she won medals in all disciplines, seven – five gold and two bronze.
This year it was relay gold and an individual bronze for the 32-year-old, this after making a comeback just before the WC after having shingles.
— If it is true that she is quitting, I think it is incredibly sad. It is a fantastically good biathlete, says NRK’s biathlon expert Ola Lunde.
— For me, Marte Olsbu Røiseland is the greatest female biathlete of all time.
At a press conference at 09:30, Røiseland is expected to make an announcement.
