At the weekend ran in Pokemon GO the top raids with Regidrago. But coaches reported problems – and even a replacement appointment for the players with the greatest difficulties did not seem to go smoothly.
What was that event? The top raids have only rarely appeared in Pokémon GO and represent raids that are said to be particularly difficult to master. On the one hand, strong bosses should be waiting there, on the other hand, they can only be solved on site.
So you can neither hope for support from long-distance raids, nor get in somewhere remotely.
Last Saturday, March 11, 2023, the current top raid event was scheduled. At 11:00 a.m., 2:00 p.m., and 5:00 p.m., trainers should be able to challenge the new Pokemon Regidrago.
But in addition to the intended challenges, some coaches also had to contend with other hurdles.
Players in New Zealand are getting replacement event but are again reporting bugs
What was going on in New Zealand? The first reports of bugs related to the raid event came from New Zealand. This time zone usually starts first in new Pokémon GO events, and trainers often share content and problems early on before they start in this country.
At the start of their first Regidrago raids, users reported that they could not join any raids (via reddit). A fix followed, but for some players, the first time slot at 11:00 a.m. was lost due to the issues.
Niantic Support then reported this via Twitter. The problem was solved and another event day would be held on the following day, March 12, 2023, as a replacement for the players in New Zealand.
But again, trainers reported problems (via reddit) when joining the raids. Critical voices also reported on Twitter that problems would arise again.
Further problems: In the Pokémon GO “TheSilphRoad” subreddit, trainers reported further difficulties with the top raids over the weekend.
Apparently, players in the USA had login problems that made it impossible to log into the game in time for the top raid at 11:00 a.m. (via reddit). This particularly annoyed some players, since they even managed to gather enough people to raid, but then couldn’t get started and in the worst case they missed them.
There were additional reports:
It remains to be seen whether the team behind Pokémon GO will address these issues again. In any case, it will be exciting to see how the situation will develop in the coming month. Because the next top raid day is coming up.
As part of the new season “Rising Heroes”, Pokémon GO announced another top raid boss alongside Regidrago: Regieleki. He should probably sit on the top raids at the next appointment on April 9th, 2023.
How did the event go for you? Have you encountered any problems with the top raids? How do you feel about this kind of raids in general? Tell us in the comments!
The next event in Pokémon GO is coming up next weekend. Community Day awaits you there in March with Flegmon and Galarian Flegmon.
