RATP STRIKE MARCH 15. RER disrupted, but traffic rather spared on the metro, bus and tram? The RATP has communicated its traffic forecasts for Tuesday March 14 and Wednesday March 15, 2023.

Let them be reassured, it is not a black Wednesday which is announced on the network of the Autonomous Paris Transport Authority, according to the first returns from the RATP. “Traffic will be normal on Wednesday” in the metro, the Régie said in its press release, specifying however that it will be “very disturbed on the RER network”. Before that, the direction of the RATP plans for the day of Tuesday March 14 a completely normal traffic in the metro, almost normal on the RER A, but still disturbed on the RER B.   • RER disruptions : with regard to the traffic of the RERs managed in part by the RATP, i.e. the RER A and the RER B, the RATP foresees disrupted traffic on Tuesday March 14 and Wednesday March 15, without giving further details details for the moment for the day of Wednesday:
  • RER A : on average 3 trains out of 4. The interconnection is maintained at Nanterre Prefecture. Due to works, traffic is interrupted between Cergy-Le-Haut/Poissy and Nanterre-Préfecture from 10:15 p.m. A replacement bus service is in place.
  • RER B : north of Châtelet: 1 train out of 2 until 10:45 p.m. (due to works). South of Châtelet: 2 trains out of 3 all day. A change of train is necessary at Gare du Nord.
  • Bus disruptions : bus traffic is normal throughout the network on 14 and 15 March. Normal traffic on the Noctilien as well.
  • Tram disruptions : traffic is normal on all tram lines on 14 and 15 March. Normal traffic on the Orlyval as well.

A 7th act of strike against the pension reform takes place on Wednesday March 15, 2023, joined by the RATP intersyndicale. In addition to denouncing an “unfair, brutal and ineffective bill”, as the communicated published by the inter-union of the RATP, the striking agents intend to protect their special pension scheme, which is threatened by the reform of the government. “The interest of having a special regime is first of all to take into account the arduousness of the work.
