AdventureQuest is an MMORPG that originally went online in 2002 and is playable in the browser. Now it’s getting a version for PC and mobile.

Developers Artix recently announced a new version of AdventureQuest with the help of a trailer. It is titled AdventureQuest Worlds: Infinity and will be released cross-platform for Steam and mobile devices.

Lots of freedom and new content every week

What kind of game is this? In AdventureQuest you choose your character from over 100 different classes, which in turn can carry over 10,000 different weapons.

Graphically, AdventureQuest offers its players a colorful comic world that you see in a 2D perspective.

In general, the free MMORPG relies on a lot of freedom for its players. You explore the world, fight monsters and collect numerous items. According to the developers, the story is “absolutely insane” and they promise new content every week.

The developers are converting all previous items and classes

Originally, the MMORPG was played in the browser, which only required the Artix client. Now the developers are rebuilding everything and creating a new version, which you then have to download.

It should then run on the PC with over 60 FPS and thus be significantly smoother than in the browser. You can also play with a mouse and keyboard or with a controller in the new version.

If you already had an account in AdventureQuest, you can take it with you and even keep your items and weapons.

Most of the comments on the YouTube trailer are positive. Users are looking forward to the AdventureQuest remake and feeling strong nostalgia.

    • When will AdventureQuest Worlds: Infinity be released? The developers have not announced a release date. Converting is said to be a lot of work as they explain in the video and on the Steam page. After all, the year 2023 is on Steam when it is released. We will keep you up to date with any news.
