The record-breaking Boston Bruins already secured their place in the playoffs.
Mikael Granlund opened his goal account in his new club, the Pittsburgh Penguins, when the team crushed their local opponent, the Philadelphia Flyers, 5–1. Pittsburgh broke away to victory in the third period, where they scored three goals.
In the last minute of the match Dmitry Kulikov found Granlund with his pass, who stepped over the blue line and nailed the Final Readings with a precise wrist shot. The goal was Granlund’s tenth of the season. Granlund was also involved in passing his team’s 1–0 goal.

The team also became the fastest NHL club to win 50 games in a season.
Colorado and Florida for overtime
The Colorado Avalance took a 3-2 overtime win over Arizona. Mikko Rantanen got an assist Cale Makarin to vottomial as well as by Nathan MacKinnon to a 2–2 draw, to which also Artturi Lehkonen recorded an assist.
