Avatar 2’s Disney+ launch may take a while
So far, the announcements have only spoken of the “digital release”, which normally only Purchase and Rental Options regards. A start in the Disney + flat rate has not yet been announced. A streaming page for Avatar 2 already exists at Disney + *, but the status there is unchanged: “Exclusive in cinemas”. When could it be? When asked by Moviepilot, the German Disney+ agency was not yet able to narrow down the launch.
Shortly after the theatrical release, we expected a start in the May 2023. That still seems realistic today. The group shouldn’t wait too long, because a release on Disney+ is extremely attractive for potential new customers.
