After Breaking Bad came Barry: The Extraordinary Thriller Series ends after season 4
Barry is a unique series that playfully easily masters the borderline between tension, emotions and humor and with this gripping tone repeatedly reminds of Breaking Bad. Shocking twists and turns are not uncommon here and the laughter at the comedy part of the story keeps getting stuck in your throat. In the best sense.
The season 4 trailer Barry gets back to business
Barry – S04 Trailer (English) HD
After 3 seasons of Barry, the ambivalent hero of the series (Bill Hader) has already been through a lot: while his girlfriend Sally (Sarah Goldberg) tries to break up with him completely in order to find success in the film business, Barry’s acting teacher Gene Cousineau (Henry Winkler) delivered delivered him to the knife. Accordingly, the trailer for season 4 shows us the professional killer in prison and prophesies captivating finale (“arresting finale”). The fact that Barry promises at the end of the video to visit his mentor, who is actually much admired, with feelings of revenge sounds more than threatening.
What Barry always had in common with Breaking Bad, beyond his engaging character drawing, was a love of camera experimentation, which added an extraordinary touch to the story. The end of the series will certainly take up this approach again ending with a Walter White-worthy bang.
You can currently stream the first 3 seasons of Barry on WOW *. Barry season 4 starts on April 16, 2023 in the USA and shortly afterwards hopefully also in Germany. The series finale of the 8 new half-hour episodes will fall on May 28, 2023.
