Killer shrimp found in Vättern: “Devastating”

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

The greater marlin is an invasive crustacean that has recently been found in large numbers on the shores of Lake Vättern. – It is not good news that we found this animal in Sweden. It is the first case in Sweden, and in the Nordic region, says Lina Tomason, coordinator for alien, invasive species at the Norwegian Sea and Water Authority. It is likely that the animal will disturb Vättern’s ecosystem in some way, in addition to out-competing other insects, it can also eat fish fry.
