The unit suffered heavy losses directly due to substandard training.
The soldiers were ordered to occupy villages without reconnaissance or maps.
– Everything is just shit, says the commander and states that they no longer obey orders.
The video of the Russian soldiers has been widely circulated on social media and has been noticed by independent Russian media.
The commander stands in front of the remnants of his unit and says that they will no longer participate in the fighting in Donetsk.
– People die. Here is all that remains of the unit, of the entire company, he says.
– In general, everything is just crap.
Heavy losses immediately
The lieutenant says the mobilized unit suffered heavy casualties just three days after being deployed to the fighting in Donetsk, eastern Ukraine.
He explains the losses by the fact that the soldiers were taken to the front without sufficient military training.
According to the commander, they were transferred without warning and forced to fight alongside militia groups in the Russian-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic.
– Our documents were seized by God knows who, semi-civilian or semi-military. I guess they were the local militia, says the officer.
Forced to enter villages blind
He states that the unit, despite substandard training, was forced to occupy villages without reconnaissance, communications or even maps.
It was not an elite force from the beginning.
– The average age is 40 years. People of different ages, different religions and professions.
Now only the rubble of the dressing remains. However, the lieutenant says that you can return to battle if you return to the command of the Russian army.
Since Putin’s mobilization in September, a number of videos of angry, dejected and pleading Russian soldiers have gone viral.
In the clips, the soldiers have complained about everything from poor training to inadequate equipment and strange orders.
The alarm: Sent to slaughter
According to the Twitter account War Translated, which translated and shared videos of Russian soldiers during the war, this is different than most others that have come out before.
“The commander does not appeal to Putin, but says straight out that he refuses to obey orders,” it says.
However, this is not the first time a Russian unit has complained of being forced to fight alongside separatists in Donetsk.
Last month, mobilized soldiers from the Irkutsk region recorded a video appealing to Putin. The soldiers stated in the video that they were sent to slaughter after being placed under the command of the militia, writes Newsweek.
