A record number of students want to study nuclear energy technology at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm. The program has 116 applicants for the fall semester, compared to 60 two years ago.
– There is a great need for engineers and knowledgeable people for a long time, says Professor Pär Olsson to SVT.
This year, the program has around 40 students, most of them from other countries, but the number of places will increase this autumn.
The country’s only other education, at Uppsala University, has doubled the number of places to twelve.
