STRIKE MARCH 8. What will Wednesday, March 8, 2023 look like in SNCF transport? They could be disturbed again by a new mobilization the day after the 6th strike against the pension reform.

This is, of course, not without consequences for users of the TGV, TER, Intercités, Transilien and RER. The SNCF strike must even be particularly followed on Tuesday. “The circulation of trains will be very seriously disrupted on all the lines operated by SNCF Voyageurs”, warned the railway company on Sunday.
If in general, the SNCF advises those who can to cancel or postpone their trips, those who risk taking a train can count on one TGV in five, one Ouigo in four and one TER in five. On the other hand, apart from very rare exceptions (six trips), no Intercity should circulate. In Île-de-France, Transilien and RER traffic is also expected to be strongly affected. “The circulation of trains will be very seriously disrupted on all lines operated by SNCF Voyageurs”, warned the company in a press release published this Sunday. Here are the detailed SNCF traffic forecasts for the day of March 7:
- TGV disruptions : this Tuesday March 7, 2023, plan 1 train out of 5 (except Paris-Lille, 1 train out of 2) on the North axis, 1 train out of 5 on the East axis, 1 train out of 5 on the Atlantic axis, 1 train on 3 on the South-East axis. On the Ouigo side, plan 1 train out of 4 and from province to province: plan 1 train out of 10.
- TER disturbances : 1 train out of 5 on average this Tuesday 7 March. SNCF indicates that TER traffic is “severely disrupted in all regions”. To monitor general regional train traffic disruptions, this page will be useful to you.
- Intercity disruptions : no traffic, except for a round trip Paris-Brive and two round trips Paris-Clermont this Tuesday, March 7. Normal traffic for Toulouse – Hendaye thanks to the establishment of a replacement coach. Night intercity : no traffic on nights from Monday to Tuesday and from Tuesday to Wednesday.
- RER A disruptions : 1 train out of 3 between Nanterre Préfecture and Poissy / Cergy this Tuesday 7 March. Interconnection maintained at Nanterre Préfecture station. After 9 p.m., a few shuttle buses between Poissy and Cergy St Christophe.
- RER B disruptions : 1 train out of 3 between Gare du Nord and Mitry-Claye/CDG 2 Airport this Tuesday, March 7. Interconnection suspended at Gare du Nord, change of train compulsory. End of service at 10:45 p.m.
- RER C disruptions : 1 train out of 5 only at peak times between Paris Austerlitz and Dourdan / Etampes / Massy via Pont de Rungis plus 1 train per hour between 9:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. between Paris Austerlitz and Brétigny.
- RER D disruptions : 1 train out of 5 this Tuesday March 7, 2023, no train between Châtelet and Gare de Lyon. Trains only run between 6 a.m. and 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. and 9 p.m. between Châtelet-les-Halles and Goussainville and between Paris Gare de Lyon and Melun / Corbeil-Essonnes via Evry Courcouronnes.
- RER E disruptions : 1 train out of 10 this Tuesday March 7, no train between Haussmann St Lazare and Pantin. Trains will depart from and arrive at Paris Est station. Trains will only run during peak hours between Paris Est and Meaux / Tournan. Normal service between Esbly and Crécy-la-Chapelle, but no traffic between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.
- Transilien disruptions : 1 train out of 3 on lines H, K and U. 1 train out of 5 on lines J, L, N and R. Line P: 1 train out of 10, no traffic on the Meaux La Ferté – Milon, Meaux – axes Chateau Thierry, Tournan – Coulommiers and Gretz – Provins. In detail line by line:

- J-Line : 1 train out of 5, trains run only between Paris St Lazare and Pontoise / Gisors / Vernon via Poissy.
- K-line : 1 train out of 3
- L-line : 1 train out of 5, trains only run between Paris St Lazare and Versailles Rive Droite / St Nom la Bretèche Forêt de Marly.
- Line N : 1 train out of 5, trains only run between Paris Montparnasse and Rambouillet / Dreux.
- P-line : 1 train out of 10, No traffic between Haussmann St Lazare and Pantin. Trains will only run during peak hours between Paris Est and Meaux / Tournan. Normal service between Esbly and Crécy-la-Chapelle, but no traffic between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.
- R-line : 1 train out of 5, trains run only between Paris Gare de Lyon and Montargis / Montereau via Moret.
- U-line : 1 train out of 3

- International train disruptions : 2 trains out of 3 on the Eurostar and the Thalys this Tuesday 7 March. Concerning the other international links, the SNCF plans 1 round trip on the France-Italy link, no traffic on the France-Germany and France-Spain axes, 1 train out of 5 on the France-Switzerland link.
For users of public transport in Île-de-France, note that the RATP has also published its traffic forecasts for the day of Tuesday March 7, this Sunday.
The four trade union organizations representing the SNCF have called for a renewable strike movement from Tuesday March 7. The Unsa Ferroviaire, the second union at the SNCF, “will analyze from March 7 and every day the rate of strikers at the SNCF (…), but also at the interprofessional level, to decide on the follow-up to be given to this movement”, a- he indicated. At the CFDT, “more than 80% are in favor of a renewable strike”. All the union organizations representing the RATP have also called for a renewable movement.
“At SNCF, at RATP, things will surely not stop on the evening of March 7 or the morning of March 8. I have asked the CEOs of SNCF and RATP to have discussions,” said declared on this subject the Minister of Transport, Clément Beaune, this Sunday on France 3.
