According to the indictment, they both took advantage of the man’s dependency, vulnerability and difficult situation to exploit him in begging. They allegedly brought him to Sweden and gave him simple food and a place to sleep in exchange for him begging on their behalf and that of their families.
Witnesses in Filipstad, among other places, have seen the man begging daily and in all weathers. But according to the man himself, the begging took place voluntarily and since no other information came to light, the court considers that it was voluntary cooperation and that the prosecution should be dismissed.
