In Rennes, the prefecture changes the place of departure
During previous days of mobilization against the pension reform, the demonstrators in Rennes (Ille-et-Vilaine) had made a habit of leaving from Place de Bretagne. However, in a decree, the prefecture prohibited the departure from this place for the next day of mobilization of March 7. The decree of the prefecture thus provides for a departure on the Charles de Gaulle esplanade. She justifies this choice by the fact that “the Charles de Gaulle esplanade makes it easier to dispose of the security forces, in order to block violent individuals”, according to comments reported by West France.
