Johan Karlgren from Motala who runs the Instagram account “pappasparlor” makes a living from pearl plate art. Most recently, he interpreted the popular series “The last of us” as a pearl plate. The clip received a lot of attention and the series’ lead actor Pedro Pascal has shared Johan’s video.
– It feels great fun. It is an acknowledgment that even those behind the series and those involved like what you do, he says.
Johan tells us that he continued with pearl tiles when the children got tired. Now he works full-time with beading.
– If you ask your family, it’s around the clock sometimes.
