The father who was charged with shaking violence against his infant has been acquitted by the Nyköping district court. The case concerns extremely serious assault and serious causing of another’s death.
The man was accused of shaking the child so that he suffered serious brain damage and died. The incident occurred in Trosa municipality at the end of July 2022.
– I have read the verdict and noted that the court has acquitted the man. I will now carefully go through the verdict and decide whether I should appeal or not, says chamber prosecutor My Lindholm.
