William Poromaa was really annoyed after the medal miss.
Then the 22-year-old chose to show his middle finger straight into the TV camera.
– I thought it was more than enough, says Poromaa to SVT Sport.
Norway put on a great show and won the WC gold, Finland really impressed and took the silver. But for Sweden it was a total disappointment and a miserable sixth place in the men’s relay.
Swedish fiasco
It is the Swedish men’s team’s worst position in a relay in 14 years and after the race no Swede was particularly happy. Calle Halfvarssonwho took care of the final stretch, was mad and threw his skis.

Even young William Poromaawho drove the third leg, was furious and quite critical in interviews afterwards.
– It’s bad. Very bad. I’m not catching up to the pimple, but it’s way up. It’s hard to do anything when it’s just me and the Frenchman who want to drive, he tells Viaplay.

Poromaa’s finger
Then Poromaa lost his head completely and pointed his middle finger at the SVT camera. The 22-year-old did not appreciate being filmed at all and simply took off one glove and held up his finger in a clear gesture towards the photographer.

Poromaa is then confronted after the gesture and forced to explain himself.
– I thought it was pretty good that he was filming me. There are always a lot of cameras towards me, I was tired of that, admits Poromaa to SVT Sport.
– It’s like they always try to get something out of me, now they got it again unfortunately. So it was probably a bad tactic on my part, he says with a laugh in the interview.
