For the fourth consecutive year, our colleagues from the Journal du Dimanche have unveiled a list of towns and villages in France where life is the best. So what are these towns and villages? And which city is it better to choose when you are parents? Doctissimo reveals the results to you.
Among the traditions of the Journal du Dimanche is the list of cities in which it is good to live. It was this Sunday, February 26 that the results of this fourth edition were published. It is the association ofTowns and Villages where life is goodwhich publishes this ranking on its website.
The ranking is based on 198 criteria grouped into 10 categories: quality of life, safety, environmental protection, health, shops and services, transport, education, sports and leisure, solidarity and real estate attractiveness.
Which cities and towns are on the podium?
Angers, in Maine-et-Loire and Guéthary, in Pyrénées-Atlantiques. These are the city and the village ranked at the top of the ranking, as a good place to live. Already ranked first last year, the two municipalities retain their respective first places.
Bayonne and Biarritz, also in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques, complete the podium of municipalities with more than 2,000 inhabitants, while Épron, in Calvados and Martinvast in Manche, come second and third for those with less than 2,000 souls.
Good in your body, good in your head!
Which place to live when you have children?
For parents, our colleagues from Le Parisien offer an online simulator that allows you to classify cities according to your choices as a parent.
Indeed, having children pushes many parents to find a safe place to live, with nurseries, parks and good schools. Thanks to this simulator, it is therefore your criteria that count to find the city of your dreams.
And taking into account more general criteria, such as the number of pediatricians or the number of green spaces, a ranking has also been established by the Parisian. And the most ideal city to live with a child is in Alsace, it is Illkirch-Graffenstaden. On the podium are also the cities of Nancy and Chaumont. To get an idea, the city of Marseille ranks only 89e and the city of Paris only arrivesen 207th position…
