More than nine years after the release of the first The Forest, Endnight Games is back with Sons of the Forest, a new entry in the survival-horror genre that takes survival gameplay even further than its predecessor did. Here you are once again lost on a hostile island populated by cannibals, while you must find the members of your team scattered after a helicopter crash. You will therefore have to master the basics of survival to get by in this new release, a good reason to explain to you how to build a tent during the first nights of your survival.
How to build a makeshift tent in Sons of the Forest?
During your first steps on the island after the crash of your helicopter, you will find some of your food and your possessions around the smoking carcass. By searching the different boxes and suitcases, you will find a tarpaulin, which you will absolutely have to recover in your bag. Once the tarp is recovered, we advise you to continue down the slope of the mountain and head for the warmer places at the edge of the forest. You can then build your first shelter in a fairly intuitive way:
- Collect large wooden sticks (2 minimum)
- Open your bag (I) and equip your tarp with left click
- Lay your tarp flat on the ground with left click
- Open your bag (I) and equip yourself with a stick
- Place the stick on one of the corners of the tarp with left click
- Repeat with another stick on another corner
Here you are, the owner of a magnificent shelter that will allow you to save your game and sleep in game!
