The presenter and TV4 profile Pär Lernström has been praised for his efforts in TV programs such as Idol, Talent and Kokkarnas kamp, but also for his disclosed and strong summer talk last year where he focused on his complicated relationship with his father.
— The parts he had the biggest problem with were creating security. I’ve been worried about that for my children to feel, that you have to be the volatile parent that he was, he says in Renée’s bridge.
The brother’s suicide attempt caused Pär to roar
It was in connection with Pär’s brother trying to kill himself that the relationship with the father really took a hit.
— He took it very easily, I thought, and we ended up in a situation where I had to roar away. There was so much that came out and so much that was said there. It was never repaired, he tells Renée Nyberg.
The daughter healed Pär’s hurt relationship with the father
But when the father became ill and later died, it became Pär’s daughter Bibiwho was then eight years old, which enabled him to forgive his father.
— They had texted each other. She wrote beautiful things and, above all, he wrote very beautiful things to her. It became the ultimate sign. Very few people are thoroughly evil, everyone has a lot of love. She really showed how goodness in a person can bring out positive memories from those you might have forgotten they exist with, he says.
