KOH LANTA 2023. This Tuesday, TF1 broadcast the second episode of Koh Lanta: The Sacred Fire. How did the two teams fare? Which candidate was eliminated in episode 2? We take stock.
- Episode 2 of Koh Lanta Le Feu Sacré was broadcast on Tuesday evening. After the elimination of Célia in the yellow team, the Reds, in turn, had to say goodbye to one of their own. The dean of the season, the 56-year-old Belgian, Emin, has been appointed.
- Emin eliminated in episode 2. The decision was unanimous on the red camp, it was Emin who was designated as the eliminated on the board of episode 2 of Koh Lanta The Sacred Fire. Out of 11 votes, 9 went against him. The last two were votes from Emin himself against Christine.
- Nicolas seems to be unanimous among our readers. In our weekly survey of Linternaute.com readers (see below), Nicolas got the highest rating. 49% of voters find that he is the most impressive adventurer based on episode 1. It must be said that he won the obstacle course against the other adventurers and then beat Helena in a duel to claim the right to carry the Sacred Fire. Behind him, Quentin and Martin finished the podium with 29% and 24% of the votes respectively.
- They are already only 18 candidates left. They were 10 women and 10 men to have been selected to participate in Koh Lanta: The Sacred Fire. Last week, Celia was eliminated. This week, it’s Emin. And in the end, there will only be one or one who will take the check for €100,000 promised to the big winner that we will discover in a few months live during the season finale.
- What is the Sacred Fire, the new capital object of the season? Until reunification, each comfort game will involve the sacred fire, a talisman that protects a candidate like an immunity necklace. Last week, it was Nicolas who won it and used it to protect himself on the council in episode 1. This sacred fire is won with each game of comfort: if the team holding the fire sacred loses the event, it is the opposing team that pockets it. The sacred fire can be given to another candidate, whether on the same team or on the opposing team. The sacred fire will therefore undoubtedly make it possible to reorganize the dynamics during the councils.

11:33 – Koh Lanta audiences down for episode 2
On the audience side, episode 2 of Koh Lanta recorded a drop compared to last week. TF1 recorded a total of 3.42 million viewers or 19.3% of the public on Tuesday February 28, against 3.80 million last Tuesday for episode 1 (20.7% market share). Note that in terms of audience, this second episode of Sacred Fire was beaten by a rebroadcast of Crimes Parfaits on France 3 (3.77 million viewers or 19% market share). We note, however, that Koh Lanta remains the leader “on target” (namely women responsible for purchases under 50) with 37.1% of this audience very dear to advertisers.
10:33 – Candidates (and especially Quentin) poisoned with pandanus
Episode 2 of Koh Lanta The Sacred Fire allowed viewers to experience a scene that was strange to say the least: the adventurers ate an inedible food, the pandanus fruit. If this fruit does not represent a real danger for humans, it caused intense sore throats to the candidates and, in the specific case of Quentin, food poisoning. We can never say it enough: in Koh Lanta, we pay attention to what we eat!
10:05 – Emin eliminated in episode 2 of Koh Lanta The Sacred Fire
After Célia last week, it was Emin who was eliminated after the defeat of the Reds in episode 2. The eldest of the team, aged 56, paid the price for the 9 votes of his teammates. He was therefore unanimously eliminated by the red tribe, a rare occurrence and all the more vexing for the candidate…

Koh-Lanta is an adventure game broadcast since 2001 on TF1. It was presented by Hubert Auriol for the first season. Since 2002, it is Denis Brogniart who is in charge of the animation of the program. Several adventurers try to survive on a deserted island until the finale. In this entertainment of survival and strategy, several tests punctuate each episode, and a candidate is eliminated by the other participants, until there are only five left. The latter then decide on two emblematic tests: the orientation and the posts, before the final vote. Since its inception, the game has seen many rule changes.

It was on the evening of June 21, 2022 that TF1 broadcast the grand finale of Koh Lanta, the cursed totem. After 39 days of survival in the Philippines, it was Bastien and François who were chosen by the final jury as the big winners of the season. The two candidates supplanted Géraldine with 4 votes each against 3.
