Destiny 2 also seems to want to continue its new tradition with gaming crossovers in Lightfall. At least that’s what an ominous tweet from the Among Us creators on Twitter suggested. MeinMMO has looked at how much of the loot shooter is in this announcement.

What is this crossover announcement? At the beginning of February 2023, the makers of the multiplayer party game “Among Us” posted a roadmap for 2023. It was mentioned that they were also planning to enter into new collaborations this year.
Collaborations are so much fun for us, and we love seeing your reactions to the messy things we do with other studios. We have some big projects planned for this year and I think you guys are going to freak out because it’s so cool.

Now another tweet followed with a picture and the words “Eyes open, crew members”. It actually only shows a few blackened figures. In addition the sentence “Found an incoming message about some scammers who may soon be hiding under a certain fireteam.”

Players think they recognize Destiny characters: Fans of the Destiny franchise were already taken aback by the text in the image, which is suspiciously reminiscent of Commander Zavala’s typical saying: “Eyes open, keeper”. But that wasn’t all the clues.
It is not excluded that both games might come together soon. It wouldn’t be Destiny 2’s first gaming crossover. In the “Witch Queen” year, they already cooperated with Fortnite, Fall Guys and most recently with Assassin’s Creed.

Crossover could be colorful and fun
What could the cooperation look like exactly? Similar to the previous collaborations, the guardians could soon expect cool new cosmetics in the Among Us style.
On the other hand, Among Us-inspired armor ornaments for Destiny 2 players could be a little funnier. At this performance, some proud keepers got a bit dizzy, like Jonathan Oldridge. He commented under the announcement, “I’m uninstalling Destiny 2 if this is legit.”
However, there could just as easily be a Destiny 2-inspired map in Among Us. Especially since Among Us developer Innersloth has already spoken of wanting to release new maps this year.
What other players are saying about the crossover: On Twitter and reddit, however, other first voices from the community could be captured. Some players would find a crossover with Among Us really cool and look forward to possible cosmetics.

When could it be? Neither Among Us nor Destiny 2 have currently given or published more detailed information about a possible crossover and therefore no specific date. However, it could already coincide with Lightfall’s release date of February 28th and thus be assigned to Season 20.
