Frida Karlsson is extremely aware of how many people think of her.
Now she responds to the rumors with an open-hearted confession during the World Ski Championships.
– I know people think I’m hard, says the 23-year-old to SportExpressen.
So far, there have been two straight WC silver medals for Frida Karlsson during the World Ski Championships in 2023. She is still looking forward to winning so much more before the championship in Planica is over.
Frida’s confession
But alongside the successes on the tracks, the Swede has also been touched by sudden words from a competitor. It is the Finnish rival Krista Pärmäkoski who is asked the following question by the Finnish TV channel EPN: “Who is the most annoying to ride behind?”
The article continues after the picture.
Pärmäkoski first laughs in the interview on Instagram and then immediately replies that it is Frida Karlsson who is the worst. The Swede then gets the chance to respond to the Finn’s words and admits that it is by no means the first time she has heard this.
– Krista said I was the most annoying? Well, I know people think I’m troublesome, but I don’t know what to do about it, Frida admits to SportExpressen.

Karlsson explains
Karlsson confesses that she has been told this throughout her skiing career and then explains why.
– Before, I was a little hot and could lie on my skis. But I think I’ve gotten better at riding in a group, she says in the interview.

When the Swede herself is asked who is the hardest to ride behind, she quickly points out one of her own teammates in the Swedish national ski team.
– Ebba! She rides so much shorter than me, so I have to adapt my style to her, says Karlsson to the evening newspaper.
