Destiny 2: Lightfall – Time, Server Down, Preload
When does Lightfall start? The new DLC starts today, February 28th, at 18:00.
When will the servers go offline? Destiny 2 is conducting a major and most importantly lengthy server maintenance for Lightfall, which will last a total of 24 hours:
So during the maintenance you can no longer log in and you will be locked out of the loot shooter for a whole day.
