Dog attacked elderly woman
The police have been called to Kyrkbyn in Gothenburg after a dog attacked a woman in her 70s.
The dog allegedly injured the woman in the leg, causing her to start bleeding and ruin her trousers.
After the attack, the dog owners must have left the scene and disappeared into a stairwell, the police write on their website.

A man is suspected of drunk driving after the fatal accident
Yesterday, an elderly man died after being hit north of Timrå.
Now a man in his 30s is under arrest on suspicion of grossly causing the death of another and gross drunken driving, reports Sundsvall’s newspaper.
– The arrested person has not said much during questioning, but more will be held in the near future, says Sven-Olof Gustavsson, on-call preliminary investigation manager at the police, to the newspaper.
The elderly man was out walking his dog when they were hit, whereupon they both died. The accident is under investigation. Samples of the driver have been taken because it is strongly suspected that he was under the influence of alcohol or drugs during the journey, the local newspaper states.
After the coup in the melody festival – activist is suspected of crime
A person is suspected of trespassing after Saturday’s part of Melodifestivalen was hijacked by climate activists, reports The Express.
– A man is suspected of trespassing. It was he who got on stage, says police spokesperson Jimmy Modin to the newspaper.
Avalanche alert
The police have been alerted that an avalanche has broken out at Hamrafjället in Härjedalen.
According to information to the police, people have heard sounds indicating that an avalanche has occurred.
Mountain rescuers and police helicopters have been called out to check the area and if anyone needs help.
On Sunday, the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency issued avalanche warnings for several mountains.

Ongoing rescue operation at water
Right now, a rescue operation is underway at a pier in Solna in Stockholm.
One person is reported to be injured.
– Someone has been in the water, but we don’t yet know what has happened, says Per Fahlström, press spokesperson for the Stockholm Police.
Police and emergency services are on site.
Violation of grave peace is being investigated – skeletal parts found in sacks
Bags with skeletal parts have been found in the Svartedalen outdoor area outside Stenungsund.
The police have seized the remains and started an investigation into burial violations.
At the moment, it is suspected that these are probably animal carcasses, but to ensure this, the skeletal parts must be analysed.
Suspected kidnapping in Strömstad
Early in the morning, the police were alerted that a woman had not returned home after a party in Strömstad.
The alarm came in at 04.40 when her partner became worried.
– This happened after a party night. Some of the party wanted to take a black taxi home, but the woman did not want that and would therefore get home on her own. When the partner came home, he became worried when the woman did not show up, says Hans-Jörgen Ostler, press spokesperson for police region West.
The partner, together with a few others, then set out to look for the woman, while the police were contacted.
– They found the woman locked in a car. She was not conscious and they smashed a window, says Hans-Jörgen Ostler.
The woman could not explain how she ended up there. The police have impounded the car and are investigating the incident as a kidnapping.
No one has been arrested so far. The woman should not have any serious injuries.
40 dead in boat accident – including children

40 people have been found dead in southern Italy, reports La Repubblica.
Several of them are children.
According to the Italian authorities, they are migrants who tried to escape across the Mediterranean.
Several of the people were found on a beach. Other people were seen floating in the water.
According to the news agency Ansa, it is suspected that the death toll will rise.
“Several dead among the migrants, about 40 survivors,” the country’s rescue service writes on Telegram.
According to Reuters, the people must have tried to escape from Iran, Pakistan and Afghanistan.
Medvedev arrested for violence outside pub
Former Wagner commander Andrej Medvedev, who sought asylum in Norway in January, was arrested on Wednesday night after he participated in a fight outside a pub in Oslo, Norwegian TV2 reports.
Once in custody, Medvedev is said to have resisted and fired at least one member of staff. He is therefore also suspected of violence against an official.
According to Medvedev’s lawyer, Brynjulf Risnes, he denies any wrongdoing.
– He says that there was a misunderstanding in town after consuming alcohol, and has explained that he did not understand what happened when the police arrived at the scene, he tells TV2.
Medvedev was released later on Wednesday.
A death in fire
One person has died after the fire in Umeå municipality.
The fire started in an apartment on Saturday.
The police will now investigate the cause of the fire and a preliminary investigation regarding, among other things, public dangerous negligence has been established.
The Swedish Environmental Protection Agency: Risk of avalanches in the mountains
The Swedish Environmental Protection Agency has issued an orange warning and several yellow warnings for avalanches in Sweden.
The Swedish Environmental Protection Agency assesses that there is a moderate risk of avalanches during the day in southern Jämtlandsfjällen, western Härjedalsfjällen, southern Jämtlandsfjällen, southern Laplandfjällen and western Vindelfjällen. While they warn of significant avalanche danger in the Riksgränsfjällen.
Masked robbers threatened a young woman at home with a gun
A young woman has been robbed at gunpoint in her home in Lövgärdet in Gothenburg.
Two masked people threatened the woman with a gun to the head and forced a large amount of cash and gold jewelry.
The police have searched for the robbers with drones and several dog patrols.
The location has been cordoned off and evidence that may be of importance to the investigation has been secured.
The robbery took place on Saturday night.
The robbers have not yet been arrested.
