Utrecht – Residents of the municipality of Utrecht who want to have their gender changed and need an expert statement for this will no longer have to pay for it themselves in the future. Mayor Sharon Dijksma said this today during question hour in response to questions from BIJ1 and the Party for the Animals. The two parties wondered whether the municipality will reimburse the costs of administrative gender change.
