A 28-year-old man from Nijkerkerveen was sentenced five years later to a fine of 750 euros for causing a serious traffic accident on Zielhorsterweg in Amersfoort. The man was driving more than 50 kilometers per hour faster than the legal limit in his Audi A4 when he collided with a car that was turning. The driver of that Fort Fiesta had to be cut out of his vehicle with serious injuries.
