In the new survival hit Sons of the Forest (Steam) you can recruit NPC companions to help you in the game. Virginia is a mutant that you will find throughout the game but will flee from you. MeinMMO explains how to bring them to your camp.
Who is Virginia? The three-armed, three-legged mutant has been known from early Sons of the Forest gameplay. She roams the island and encounters you randomly in-game, with many players encountering her during missions when looking for her team.
Virginia is one of the possible companions in the game that will help you protect your camp and fight against opponents. Companions are one of the new features in Sons of the Forest.

In Sons of the Forest you should search for a missing billionaire. Once you start the game, you can look at different files on your laptop related to the people you are looking for and your goal.
One of those files is about Virginia Puffton, apparently the daughter of billionaire Edward Puffton. She is 20 years old and a student. Apparently, the mutant Virginia and the billionaire’s daughter are the same person.
How to recruit Virginia: Unlike Kelvin, who you have as a companion right from the start and who follows your orders, you have to make friends with Virginia first. To do this, you must meet the mutant peacefully when you see her.
You must not have any weapons or other items in hand when approaching her. Shed whatever you’re carrying away with the “G” key, then slowly walk towards her. It may take a while before she accepts you.
As soon as Virginia starts dancing for you or seems a bit friendlier in general, you’ll know you’re doing the right thing. After that, however, she remains shy and willful, and you must first get her used to fighting with you.

NPC companions help you in battle and gathering
Unlike Kelvin, Virginia is best suited as a fighter. Since she has multiple limbs, you can give her companion several of the different weapons in Sons of the Forest.
According to player opinion, long-range weapons such as shotguns and pistols are best suited for them. She can carry both a shotgun and a pistol at the same time. But first she has to get used to fighting other mutants.
Virginia gets cold easily, which makes her less comfortable in winter. Make sure to light fires and provide shelter during colder seasons to keep her alright. Companions have their own behavior that can change depending on how you treat them.
Kelvin and Virginia are the only known companions so far, but it’s possible that there are more of them in the game. You will find more information on MeinMMO as soon as more companions have been found.
