(Finance) – The Minister of Enterprise and Made in Italy, Adolfo bearstated that the possibility of introducing incentives for the national production of cars. In his speech at the presentation of a report by Federmanager and Aiee on the impact of the European transition plan for the automotive sector, Urso recalled the table with Stellantis hey labor unions last week from which it emerged that “most of the incentives went to Stellantis machines but above all to Stellantis machines made abroad”. For this reason, it is evaluating “how, immediately, to create incentives which, in fact, to some extent, incentivize the national production of cars”.
The minister ensured that on the challenges of transition environmental for the sector, and on the risks related to the impact on businesses and employment in Italy, “we will not give a break”, underlining the need to “impose a vision pragmatic to the Commission”.
The minister underlined that “for the first time in Parliament European there is a strong and increasingly significant opposition to the politics ideological of the Commission”, there was no “that Bulgarian majority as happened in previous years” to vote”, underlining that any changes to the regulations will have to come from the “next Commissionbecause in 2024 we vote and this increasingly large opposition to an ideological vision will probably become the majority”. These are issues that, if not now, at the verification scheduled for 2026 can be addressed “in a very different political-institutional context”.
